Border crossing prepare for the 2017 tourist season

In the frame work of getting ready for 2017 tourist season.Mrs Salma loumi Rkik, Minister of tourism and handicraft ,supervised a working session held in the headquarter of the ministry on Tuesday, March 28,2017.The session was attended by officials from the National Ofiice of Border crossing in order to discuss some issues rlated to the conditions of the reception ans transit of Algerian and Lbyan tourists at the level of the Tunisian borders.

Mrs the minister insisted on the requirement of accelerating the construction and the innovation work of waiting and rests areas.In addition,she called also for the provision of necessary services especially for what correspond to the insurance and exchange offices in order to receive the arrivals in the best conditions. A joint working team was agreed between the ministry and the National office of Border Crossings.The mission of the team is to conduct fiald visits and to inspect the work progress.

The endeavors will be focused on border crossings witnessing an intense activity such as the crossing of Melloula which will be a typical was noted that more than three million Algerian and Libyan tourists arrived to Tunisia in 2016.A significant growth in those markets is forecasted.
